Doctors Isabelle and Edward Arthur

A great deal of the educational, medical, architectural, and social beginnings of Nelson, British Columbia were rooted in the Arthurs. Both of them were strong as individuals, but together they were a formidable force. They were involved with the production of Nelson’s first surgical practices, hospitals, and schools. Both of them wrote informative papers and did research in their spare time. If anything can be taken from the influential couple, it is that they deserve their names to ring throughout Kootenay History.
